Bon Acre Homes' Sustainability Philosophy

90-100% of our materials come from high-quality discards, including,

Branches from pruned trees -- the trees that actually are fuller and more lively after pruning.
Boards from local dead trees and trees that are deemed in dangerous proximity to homes. We do not reward the unnecessary cutting of trees.
Wood pallets rescued from dumpsters. Many businesses don't know what to do with pallets after they receive their deliveries -- we know what to do -- make something useful and/or decorative for the home!
Unused discarded fabric remnants.

We also welcome material donations, specifically wood and fabric. Contact us if you have material you would like to donate.

The Three "E"s of Sustainability

We care about taking discarded and used things and repurposing them into beautiful and practical works of art that will enhance your home. Bon Acre Home Goods products combine ethical sourcing, sustainability and durability for less environmental impact. Because we care about the product and also the environment including the trees that have gifted their materials to us.

Economic

Using reclaimed wood and fabrics is cost effective for us. As raw material prices keep going up, our business will still be able to operate since our materials are reclaimed. This allows us to spend more time and resources bringing out the most in each product as we handcraft each unique item with care.

Environmental

The materials we use are found and reclaimed, not purchased, because we care for the environment. We are working to see less waste and do our part to help the planet thrive. We care about individual trees and that their lives are respected. We believe wood should be sustainably sourced, not harvested in a way that harms our precious forests. Every tree matters and helps us into a sustainable future.

Equitable

We believe in respecting individuality, not only in our products that are each uniquely shaped and crafted with care to bring out their best qualities. We also treat each of our team members and customers with the same respect and celebration of their individuality. This means the identities that make each of us unique including age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and ability.
