Root Ball Sculpture "Heart of the Tree"

This rootball had humble beginnings when Rob discovered it in the neighbor's trash. It was covered in dirt with many long branches. Most would have seen it as trash, but Rob saw something more. He began by power washing to eliminate dirt and any unwanted debris and clean the rootball. He initially thought the shape would be perfectly round but as he was sanding and shaping it, the root ball lent itself to this organic shape resembling a heart. Rob says this root ball that was "discarded deserved a new life."
 
Based on its shape and the new life it has taken, "Heart of the Tree seemed like the perfect title for this work of art. It will be the perfect centerpiece in your home, bringing warmth and light. It looks stunning in various lighting and creates interesting depth and shadows. You can display it at a variety of different angles for different appearances.
